He is a member of the famous Kennedy family, the son of former Massachusetts senator Ted Kennedy. Kennedy if the co-founder of the marijuana policy group Smart Approaches to Marijuana, a bipartisan group that is dedicated to health-first marijuana policy. The group aims promote laws that neither legalize nor demonize the drug.

Charlie Crist (Co-Author: “The Party’s Over: How the Extreme Right Hijacked the GOP and I Became a Democrat”)
Charlie Crist is an American attorney, politician, and former governor of Florida from 2007-2011. Crist began his career in politics as a member of the Republican Party, and served in the Florida Senate. He became the Florida Education Commissioner in 2001 and eventually became the Florida Attorney General in 2003. Crist was elected governor of the state in 2006. He lost the US Senate Election for Florida Representative to Tea Party candidate Marco Rubio. Crist left the Republican Party to become an independent, and finally joined the Democratic Party in 2012. He is seeking re-election as Florida governor in 2014. In his new book co-written with Newsday columnist and Fox News liberal Ellis Henican, “The Party’s Over” chronicles his rise in Republican politics and his split from the party, and offers a focused indictment of the failings of the Republican Party, naming names and identifying where things went wrong.

Godfrey Reggio is an American director who specializes in experimental documentaries. The director’s work often focuses on the effects of consumerism and fundamentalism on the world. His most famous work is his Qatsi trilogy, which explores the progression of technology and industry, and the effects they have on the daily life people the world-over. Reggio’s latest film Visitors examines humanity’s relationships with technology and how that relationship – when affected by extreme emotional states – can have devastating effects.

Elizabeth Kolbert is an American journalist and author who is an observer and commentator on environmentalism topics for The New Yorker magazine. Her book Field Notes from a Catastrophe is well-known as a commentary on climate change and its causes and effects. Kolbert’s latest book is The Sixth Extinction, which examines the sixth great extinction of species on Earth which many scientists believe is occurring right now. Unlike all previous extinctions, this one seems to be driven by man. Kolbert’s book draws upon the opinions of people in a variety of different professions, including geology, marine biology, botany, and more.

Joel Kinnaman is a Swedish-American television and film actor. His career began in his native Sweden, where he starred in the popular franchise Johan Falk. Kinnaman’s performances in the franchise earned him a role in the film Easy Money. He also stars in the AMC series The Killing as policeman Stephen Holder. Kinnaman stars in the upcoming film RoboCop as Alex Murphy, a Detroit cop who is killed in a shootout and then brought to life again as a crime fighting cyborg. The film is based on the 1980s American television show of the same name.
