On March 29th Stephen Colbert issued a challenge to college students to start a collegiate chapter of his SuperPAC: Americans for a Better Tomorrow, Tomorrow. Remy Maisel, a Penn State Animal Science Major, and amateur media critic for The Huffington Post accepted the challenge, and has since gone on to recruit over two hundred students, staff and faculty, including Sophia A. McClennen author of ‘America According to Colbert: Satire as Public Pedagogy’ to the Penn State SuperPAC: Penn Staters For A Better Tomorrow, Tomorrow.

An only child from Bexley, Ohio, Frank Lesser is best known as an Emmy Award winning writer for Comedy Central’s ‘The Colbert Report’. Frank attended Brown University, in Providence RI, where he was founding member of “The Beasts of Funny” comedy group, and a writer for the humour magazine ‘Brown Jug’. After graduating in 2002 with a Bacholer of Arts (Film), Frank worked as a production assistant for TV Land, and as a freelance promo writer for various Viacom stations. When not working as a writer for television, Frank has written and directed a number of short films, including ‘Danny Bot’, ‘Flora Bush’, ‘Who Ordered Room Service?’, and the real working fake sex line ‘LieGirls.com.

A Jersey Girl, hailing from Glen Rock, Lisa Rogak is a New York Times best selling author, and as stated in The Vail Daily News the author who has “written the most absurd selection of books known to man”. And they’re not kidding. Lisa has published books and newsletters, written about food, travel and wine, started a greeting card company for cats and dogs, bought and sold funeral equipment, and is an avid hearse driver, monkey spoon collector, and classically trained pianist in her free time. It’s little wonder then, that Lisa has written on everything from dogs to death, including ‘Stones and Bones of New England’ (2004) and ‘Death Warmed Over’ (2004), and a string of biographies on everyone from Shel Silverstein to Stephen King, Dan Brown to The Obamas, and now Charleston’s favourite son Stephen Colbert.

A Jewish boy from Brooklyn, New York, Scott Sherman is best known as a writer for Comedy Central’s ‘The Colbert Report’ and ‘Important Things with Demetri Martin’. Whilst working on ‘The Colbert Report’, Scott, a talented comedy writer and member of ‘Action 5′ – a writing group who love to sink their satirical teeth into pop culture – has also contributed to such books as ‘The New Vampire’s Handbook: A Guide for the Recently Turned Creature of the Night’ (2009), and ‘The Dangerous Book for Dogs: A Parody by Rex and Sparky’ (2007), which he co-authored with his dog – a talented writer in her own right.
