On Monday nights episode of ‘The Daily Show‘, Jon Stewart announced the date of his final episode as host. After more than 16 years as host, Jon will sign off for the final time on August 6th, 2015, saying “I will be wearing a suit. I will more than likely be showered.” Responding to the disappointment of the studio audience, he added: “I’m sorry’ I will be wearing overalls and I won’t shower. So I hope that you will join us for that program.”
Jon also informed viewers that they can win tickets to the taping of his final show by going to Omaze.
‘The New York Times‘ reports that “Comedy Central said ‘The Daily Show’ would go on hiatus for the rest of summer after Mr. Stewart’s departure and relaunch with Mr. Noah some time in the fall. A start date for Mr. Noah has not been announced.”

Still wondering what Stephen Colbert might be like as an interviewer now that he has dropped the blow hard alter ego he embodied on ‘The Colbert Report’ for over a decade?
If Anthony D’Alessandro’s Deadline review is anything to go by, then it looks like we’re in for some pretty positive times ahead on the ‘Late Show’, not to mention some fantastic guest interviews.

Stephen Colbert fans are a sad, shiftless lot these days. With our fearless host away and gearing up for his new show, there is not much to do but eat Americone Dream and watch old TCR clips – if you can stand the heartache of it all. While suffering through this awkward in-between-networks phase, a fan becomes reflective. Changing shows is a big deal. How can those uniquely special aspects we loved about Stephen’s work on The Colbert Report transition to the new show? Is that even possible? Maybe. After the jump you’ll find my top five suggestions for a very “Colbert” style new Late Show.
