I flew to New York City for an intense and meaningful mind meld with my long lost comedy brother @StephenAtHome. https://t.co/9Po0LyTBd1 pic.twitter.com/pWzgBQcBej

“Stephen and Conan sit down this week to chat about bonding like brothers, growing a sustainable farm, silliness as a religion, the healing power of connecting with an audience, and hiding from their producers. Plus, Conan gives a history lesson as he and his staff pick a new subject for another drawing contest.”

Stephen Colbert dropped by ‘Conan’ last night, which is currently taping a week of shows at Harlem’s Apollo Theater as part of the New York Comedy Festival.
Always one to make an entrance, Stephen arrived on stage with a harpoon, before talk turned to Trump and the ‘Late Shows’ recent visit to Russia, in which Stephen details the constant surveillance the staff were under, including being followed around by both Russian and American authorities.
The two late night hosts also discussed the new Hulu documentary ‘Too Funny To Fail‘ – which details the rise and fall of ‘The Dana Carvey Show – including the time the network shelled out $15,000 to throw a prop horse out of a plane over a field in Florida for sketch.

When news stories fall through the cracks, we here at Colbert News Hub find them for a post we call, In The Press.
Continuing with the articles you might have missed in the past couple of months, I must warn you that this May edition is a bit more critical than usual. When Chris Licht was hired as an executive producer it was taken as confirmation that things haven’t been running smoothly behind the scenes, and a bunch of articles were written trying to outline what exactly hasn’t been working with the show. On a brighter note, you’ll also find articles such as the one about Stephen’s image as a “cool Catholic,” about Stephen’s visit at the Spoleto Festival, and interviews with Larry Wilmore and Conan O’Brien.
Don’t hesitate to share your thoughts!

Hello Hubsters! Things have been busy, so it’s been a little while since our last edition of In The Press. A lot has happened in the meantime. We’re first going to catch up with all the articles you might have missed in April, and then we’ll return to our regular schedule with the May edition! In this April edition, Stephen made yet another “power” list; we have personal accounts about the creation of The Daily Show and Strangers With Candy, a couple of articles assessing The Late Show’s strengths and weaknesses so far, an interview with Jon Batiste, and discussions about Trevor Noah’s and Samantha Bee’s opposite approaches to politics. Also, from now on, you’ll find the monthly ratings table at the very end of each of these editions.

Hi Hubsters! Can you believe two months have already passed since the premiere? Things seem to be settling down at The Late Show With Starring Stephen Colbert. The shows are becoming much more consistent and I already see some favorite regular segments emerge (personal favorites: Bedtime Stories and The Hungry For Power Games).
But let’s get right to it, because there are a lot of articles this month! The media has been paying a lot of attention to The Late Show’s unique blend of guests, so you’ll find a bunch of articles about that. You’ll find quotes by Conan O’Brien and Jimmy Kimmel weighing in on how Stephen has been doing so far. There’s a lot of talk of ad revenue and ratings of course. There are people getting angry at Stephen including the usual suspect, Fox News. There’s also a great article by someone who knew Stephen at The Second City, and a fun article about “achievement beards.”
