You may recall Richard Hersh’s recent appearance on TCR where Stephen scoffed at MIT, calling it the “Harvard of DeVrys.” Well apparently, so did the Dean of Admissions at the University, Stu Schmill, who decided to respond in a (startlingly) clever version of Stephen’s Word segment.
From BostInno:
“Although what Schmill says is funny, it’s what he chooses to place in parentheses that’s even funnier. For example:
Now Stephen, I know you like to think with your gut, but here at MIT, we prefer to think with our head. (Because our guts are too full of pi.)
Combine all the companies started by MIT, and you have the 11th largest economy in the world. If you like the sound of that, I’d even encourage you to apply to MIT. Your application would be a formidable opponent. (For my shredder.)
To Schmill, it all boils down to one equation: MIT Nation > Colbert Nation.”
See the video of Mr. Schmill’s response:
Nice job, sir. My only complaint: nobody puts Baby’s application in a shredder. And also, no nation is greater than Colbert Nation, sorry! What do you think of the Dean’s performance?
