He told us, “I know weʼll meet again some sunny day.” Since then, we have listened to his podcasts, watched his videos, read his interviews, laughed at his amazing promos, and waited with bated breath for him to return to our televisions. The premiere week kicks off with an amazing line up of guests – from actors to politicians to musicians and more. The very first episode of the Late Show with Stephen Colbert will be an historic moment in late night television. First, Stephen talks to the handsome and altruistic George Clooney. Guest number two is Republican presidential candidate, Jeb Bush. Will Stephen discuss his roasting of Jebʼs brother at the 2006 White House Correspondents Dinner? I, for one, hope so! After that, we are in for a treat of many surprise musical guests.

Hey there Hubsters! A new week of shows is just around the corner, so that means it’s time for your regularly-scheduled “Better Know a Guest”! As we come back from the weekend, there have a been a few big news stories that might get some coverage this week, particularly the crash of Malaysian Airlines Flight 17 in the Ukraine, continuing conflict in the Gaza Strip, the ongoing debate over the deportation of young undocumented immigrants, and more. As always, let us know in the comments below what news you hope to hear about, the guests you’re most interested in, and any suggestions for this post!
Stephen’s admirable opponents at the interview desk this week are a journalist, a politician, a film director, a film writer, and a businessman. Jon’s guests this week are two journalists, an actor, and a director.

Hello, Hubsters!
I hope everyone had a happy Passover, a happy Easter, or just a happy weekend. Great to be back and better knowing Stephen’s and Jon’s guests–although I assure you, I am still in the midst of freelance madness, editing and writing and then editing and writing some more. A little crazy, but basically wonderful.
This weekend has been relatively quiet, considering how super-heated the news has been recently. I myself cannot even guess what our favorite faux pundits will cover on Monday. Well, being surprised is a good thing, and there’s never any shortage of political madness to play with. And this week, as we all know, Stephen has a big guest: Michelle Obama! I’m really excited to see how she’ll do in the hot seat; my suspicion is that she’ll handle it all very coolly and well, with her customary flair. As for The Daily Show, a favorite returns: Ricky Gervais is back yet again. I’m expecting the usual hilarity.
