Politico reports that long-time Colbert staffer Emily Lazar is leaving the ‘Late Show’, where she served as an executive producer.
In an email obtained by Politico, Lazar says she intends to “kick back, read, write, cook, travel, rag on my family, make puppets, and enjoy ‘The Late Show’ from the other side of the screen until I settle on my next project.”
And finishes by thanking those she has worked with for the past eleven years:
“To everyone I’ve worked with over all these years, thank you for your kindness, your friendship and for making my life so interesting. I’ve loved every minute of it. What a ride and I look forward to being in touch down the road.”
