What better way to celebrate Flag Day than to have a contest showcasing the greatest little flag pole there ever was!! Oh, and of course the greatest children’s author there ever was, is and will be!!

Contest
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to incorporate a pole(s), it can be any type, into a photograph with the book or audiobook of “I Am A Pole (And So Can You)” in the most interesting, creative, and imaginative way possible.
If you are camera-shy, that is ok, you do not need to appear in the photo yourself, just the book and a random pole somewhere out there in the universe need to be featured in the photo. If you know your location and the type of pole you are shooting, feel free to include that information in your submission. To ensure that everyone has a fair chance at entering, we have split the competition into three different categories.
Contest Dates: Close: 25 July, 2012.
Categories
- Best Use of a Pole
- Best Location of a Pole
- Best Photoshopped or Digital Creation
Rules
- The photograph must be your own.
- All photoshopped images used in your entry must abide by the copyright placed upon the images used.
- You may submit a maximum of 1 entry per category.
- Do not put yourself in danger or break any laws while obtaining your entry.
- Do not damage or deface the book or audiobook.
- Have fun and be creative!!
Judging
- Entries will be voted on by members of Colbert News Hub.
- Entries in each category will be voted on via poll.
- The entry in each category with the most votes will be declared the winner.
- If there are a large number of entries the voting will be split into semi-finals and then a final.

Entries Submission
To enter the contest please email your entry to [email protected] with the title “I Am A Pole – Contest Entry” and the category you wish to enter into. If you plan on submitting more than one image, please send them together in a single email OR state that you will be entering more in the future. Images should be no wider than 560px, otherwise they will not fit on the page. If you do not know how to resize your entry that is fine, we can do that for you. Just send it in. And remember to be creative and have fun!!
