This week has been a little sleepy, what with Stephen and crew being off the air, so it was a bit of a jolt to discover the following video spotted by eagle-eyed Hubster, Claire. You may want to break out some sunglasses:

During the media blitz that preceded the Late Show’s premiere, we saw many promos, but only the hint of one featuring Stephen in this custom made gold suit by men’s haberdasher Saint Laurie. Hopefully, we can see the actual promo at some point, as we loved all the others. This gold suit deserves to be seen! If not the promo, perhaps Future Stephen of the old show with his silver suit can get his gold-suited counterpart to be a character on the new show? Just brainstorming here.

First Lady Michelle Obama will visit THE LATE SHOW with STEPHEN COLBERT on Monday, September 28 (11:35 PM-12:37 AM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

“It’s always an honor to have the First Lady,” said Stephen Colbert. “Better than that, it’s always fun!”

The First Lady will highlight “Let Girls Learn,” an initiative that seeks to help the more than 62 million girls around the world, half of whom are adolescent, attend school and complete their educations. Launched by the President and First Lady Michelle Obama, “Let Girls Learn” champions community-driven solutions and public-private partnerships to help reduce the barriers that prevent adolescent girls from achieving their full potential.

Also, the First Lady will highlight her “Reach Higher” initiative, an effort to inspire every student in America to take charge of their future by completing their higher education, whether at a professional training program, a community college, or a four-year college or university. The First Lady’s “Reach Higher” initiative aims to rally the country around the importance of post-secondary education by exposing students to college and career opportunities, making financial aid and college affordability a reality, and inspiring and supporting academic and summer planning.

Eagle-eyed Hubsters may have noticed a curious new black wristband on our fearless host on Friday’s broadcast. It may have also harkened memories of the Old Show, where the Wristrong bracelet was a wardrobe staple.

Here’s the backstory, provided by audience member and Black Lives Matter activist Patrick Waldo:
