U.S. Drone Controversy
The drone program is under fire again.
“Ladies and Gentlemen, as you know the United States is the World’s police. That’s why we eat so many donuts.”
Media lady: U.S. drone strikes could amount to war crimes.
Stephen: War crimes? No. Technically we haven’t declared war on those countries. They’re just crimes.
Apparently the drones are taking their toll on Pakistanis, because they are buying up antidepressants, sleeping tablets and anxiety meds, as well as ED pills.
“Yes, there’s a reason why that Cialis couple is sitting outside in bathtubs, ’cause that’s all that’s left after the drone blew up their house.”
Difference Makers – Philip Steel
In Deer Trail, CO a man wants to make it legal to hunt and “kill” drones and he’s issuing drone hunting licenses for $25 a pop. Nothing could go wrong with that.
Philip Steel wrote an ordinance that was rejected by the town council after he showed up to their meeting complete with the music from “The Good, The Bad and The Ugly” playing and dressed like this:
Philip Steel, Drone Hunter. This fall on CBS.
Missy Cummings, however, wants to put the kill switch on all his fun. She claims that drones can be used for good. Sure. That can’t be true, right? The TV media people say that drones are all scary and stuff.
According to Mr. Steel, drones can be used to enforce Obamacare. Get this:
Philip Steel: Let’s take smokers, how many people take smoke breaks? Okay, fly a drone. Oh did you check non-smoker on your health insurance form? I’m sorry we’re going to have to penalize you now.
That sounds completely not insane at all.
When the town council voted the ordinance down, he forged on with selling his licenses anyway. He’s sold about 100 of them. To whom, I don’t know, but not the townspeople. They think he could probably use a little less tinfoil.
Blood in the Water – Richard Cohen’s Conventional Wisdom
Blood in the Water is becoming a pretty frequent segment.
This time, Richard Cohen of the Washington Post has said that the GOP is not racist and that people with conventional views must suppress a gag reflex when they see the family of Bill DeBlasio.
The media attacked him for saying such a thing. He also said, in between parentheses in his column, “Should I mention that Bill DeBlasio’s wife, Chirlane McCray used to be a lesbian?”
“Nothing you say between parentheses counts.”
– (Should I mention Richard Cohen sympathized with George Zimmerman after Trayvon Martin’s death?) – (Should I mention Richard Cohen once suggested it is OK to keep black people out of your store?)
– (Should I mention, if Richard Cohen isn’t a racist, I don’t know what he is — maybe just a really bad writer?)
