Sheryl Zelikson to Leave the 'Late Show with Stephen Colbert'

Twenty years after starting out at the ‘Late Show’ under David Letterman, Billboard reports that Sheryl Zelikson will be leaving her role as the ‘Late Show with Stephen Colberts’ senior music producer.

A spokesman person for the show stated that, “this was a very amicable decision between Sheryl and the show. We wish her great things for the future“.

In a farewell message to colleagues, Zelikson noted that “she’d started as a mailroom clerk and looked forward to continuing to champion great talent […] Artists have been discovered, careers made, and it has been a tremendous privilege to have been an integral part of the process for over two decades.

The show is currently seeking a new music booker with the “ability to discover new talent, book big names,” and “bring big ideas for innovative ways to produce music for both broadcast and digital,” to join the talent booking department.”
