Happy New Year, Hubsters! I hope your New Year’s Eve was just like the ending to ‘When Harry Met Sally.’ Okay, maybe not! We don’t get a Hollywood ending, but if we’re lucky enough, we get something far greater; an evening surrounded by loved ones, drinking some spirits and making a lot of noise at midnight! However you spent your New Year’s Eve/Day, I hope it was wonderful. We have now bid a fond farewell to 2013. In the words of John Lennon: “Another year over and a new one just begun.”
Now that this year has come to an end we find our fearless leader on several “Best of 2013” articles from all around the web. So, raise your champagne glasses, sing “Auld Lang Syne”, blow your noise-makers and enjoy these articles that feature Dr. Stephen T. Colbert, DFA and all of the wonderful things he did in 2013.

Remember Stephen Colbert’s Surprise Appearance at Slate’s ‘Gabfest Podcast’ and the resulting video Stephen Colbert on Slate’s Live Political Gabfest. Yes, we do and so does the Slate Political Gabfest Facebook page. See these handsome pictures of Stephen, relaxed and having fun.
Mr. Colbert’s gab on Nixon and his war crimes was eye opening and massively on point. I think he is right, most people only remember Watergate and the two figures raised about Nixon but to think he manipulated the Vietnam War for political gain, given the loss of life; well, that is unconscionable. Personally, I think the Nixon bit was way better than the Panda Porn but go figure.
Be that as it may and feast upon the casual dress, untamed hair, and mischievous grins.

“I have a, a—I have a, a,—I have a chatter,” Colbert said, “and that is about Richard Nixon, who is my president.”
Colbert said he’s 48 years old now, which makes him just old enough to remember Nixon as president.
“Watergate is very vivid to me, because it interrupted ‘The Munsters,’” he said.
