The Television Academy has posted a behind-the-scenes look at the making of Stephen Colbert’s Emmy promos.
The 69th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards will air live on Sunday, 17 September, 2017 at 8PM (ET) / 5PM (PT) on CBS.

The Unicode Consortium has released version 10.0 of the Unicode Standard, which includes the long-awaited Colbert emoji.
The code required to support these new emoji’s is now considered stable and final, and will be included in new updates from major vendors, including Apple, Google, Microsoft and Samsung in 2017.

Simon & Schuster will publish a book and audio edition based on Stephen Colbert’s popular “Midnight Confessions” segment from “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” it was announced today.
The book will include Colbert’s favorite confessions from the recurring segment, in which the late-night host enters a confessional to seek private forgiveness from his audience. The book will also include confessions from viewers who have submitted their own midnight confessions via Twitter.
“I wish I could say that all of these confessions were made up,” said Colbert.
“Each of these confessions is a comic gem, and a window into our collective private shame,” said Jonathan Karp, the publisher of Simon & Schuster. “We are grateful to Stephen Colbert and the writers of ‘The Late Show’ for providing such entertaining absolution for our sins.”
“Stephen Colbert’s Midnight Confessions” will go on sale Tuesday, September 5, 2017.

The Topps Company, the exclusive trading card partner of Major League Baseball, have released their annual baseball card set which includes fan favourites, superstars, up-and-coming rookies and the recent addition of popular First Pitch™ inserts.
Featured among the first pitch series, is none other than Donny Franks, Stephen Colbert’s hot dog vending alter ego. Franks, who threw the first pitch for the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field, was featured in the segment ‘Everyone’s a Weiner When Stephen Visits Wrigley Field’ on the 22nd September, 2016 episode of the ‘Late Show with Stephen Colbert’.
Previously, Stephen Colbert threw the first pitch, or in this case pint of Americone Dream, to Jerry Greenfield (of Ben & Jerry’s) at a Charleston RiverDogs game on Saturday, 7th July, 2007.

Ben & Jerry’s have released an exciting new way for busy on the go ice cream lovers to ingest their favourite flavours without all the mess.
Similar to a Klondike Bar, their new Pint Slices feature four classic flavours: Vanilla Peanut Butter Cup, Chocolate Fudge Brownie, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough and Stephen Colbert’s Americone Dream covered in chocolate and individually wrapped in an easy-to-open pouch.
Boxes of Americone Dream feature “three vanilla ice cream bars with caramel swirls and fudge covered waffle cone pieces, covered in a dark chocolatey coating with waffle cone pieces.”
Speaking on the new release to Paste Magazine, Dena Wimette, Global Innovation Manager for Ben & Jerry’s, said “It took us years to perfect how to squeeze in all the chunks and swirls our fans have come to expect. Using top secret technology, we finally got it. Of course, with all those thick, rich ingredients, there was no room for a stick. It just didn’t fit.”
Pint Slices are now available in most Ben & Jerry’s scoop stores and will soon be available in grocery stores nationwide.
