Stephen Colbert and John Dickerson in Conversation at 92Y

On Wednesday, May 25th, CBS’ Face the Nation moderator John Dickerson and Stephen Colbert sat down at the 92nd and Y for an in-depth discussion about the mood of the country and the 2016 presidential race. Professing to be a longtime fan of Dickerson’s work on Slate’s “Political Gabfest,” Stephen peppers Dickerson with questions about the status of the election and the current political landscape. In true “elfish” fashion, Dickerson gives an impartial analysis, describing the political lay of the land in his unbiased way.

Definitely take the time to watch this discussion. I can understand why Stephen values Dickerson’s take on politics so much. As Stephen is prized himself for his breakdown (and takedowns) of all things politics, a man like Dickerson, who is also political director of CBS News, is a great asset and mentor. He is a student of politics, and great at communicating to the broader audience how the inner-workings of Washington shape the whole world.
