Stephen Colbert Mocks Donald Trump's Presidential Bid

Worried that Stephen & Co. wouldn’t be able to weigh in on Donald Trump’s announcement that he is running for President of the United States? Worry not.

Marking his return to the world of political comedy, Stephen Colbert had an announcement of his own on Tuesday. Mimicking Trump’s rambling speech and donning a Trump-style hairdo and accent, Colbert was rolled to a podium in “a giant human trashcan”, where he announced that, “Donald Trump’s campaign for president of the United States is not just great for America, it’s great for late night television, because Donald’s presidential campaign has inspired me, Stephen T. Colbert, to announce that I will still be hosting ‘The Late Show‘ on CBS” (debuting Sept. 8th).

This isn’t the first time Colbert has mocked Trump. Back in 2012, Trump offered $5 million to charity if President Barack Obama would provide his college transcripts and passport. In turn, Colbert offered to donate $1 million to the charity of Trump’s choice if he allows Colbert to dip his balls in his mouth on ‘The Colbert Report‘.
