Hello, everyone! It’s me, Stephensmile64, back again with another taping reporT. So yeah, I know what you’re all thinking? “Stephensmile64, didn’t you just attend a taping?” Why yes, I did. So unfortunately, I did not attend this show but a friend of a friend of mine did. I actually got the tickets for he and three of his friends and the following day, he graciously sent me a brief email report.
He attended the September 2, 2014 show and this was his first taping ever. He had a wonderful time and quickly sent me some of the Q&A. I attended the August 6th, 2014 show with my friend and knowing this was going to be our final taping, we were very excited, yet emotional. I was going to wait to attend at a later day, but I just finished graduate school and got a job. So being it was early in the job, this was going to be the best time to take off and attend. And you know what? I’m so glad I did!

As we reported yesterday, Stephen Colbert appeared at San Diego Comic Con to moderate “The Hobbit: The Battle of Five Armies” panel, where he opened by delivering a hilarious and heartwarming speech about his relationship with J.R.R. Tolkein’s novels and they big screen adaptation by Peter Jackson., before addressing the panel featuring Benedict Cumberbatch, Cate Blanchett, Orlando Bloom, Evangeline Lilly, Luke Evans, Lee Pace, Graham McTavish, Elijah Wood, Andy Serkis, Peter Jackson and Philippa Boyens.
The fabulous folks over at OneRing.net have tracked down the complete video from the event, minus the teaser trailer which has been removed from the video.

I attended the February 3rd taping with my friend Nicole. This was her first taping and had never really watched the show, so this was going to be a totally new experience for her. I met her our first semester in graduate school, so for the past two years, she has been listening to me speak about my Stephen love (very willingly and enthusiastically, may I add). So when my friend informed me two weeks ago that she was unable to attend this taping, I asked Nicole if she wanted to come. I had a feeling she would really enjoy herself. And she happily said YES!

The event, “Jimmy Fallon, in Conversation with Stephen Colbert,” was an absolute delight! Earlier in the month, I attended the event at the Town Hall (see my reporT), so this was turning into “the month of Stephen.” Works for me!
