Late last night, the new ‘Late Show with Stephen Colbert’ marquee arrived via truck at its new home outside the Ed Sullivan Theater.
Twitter user @BrianLinek and Instagram user @GreatMomentsWithMrLee were lucky enough to capture the sections of the marquee being hoisted into their new home. Come morning, lucky New Yorkers passing by Broadway were treated to the site of the newly installed marquee.
As seen on our Pinterest board, workers continue to put the finishes touches on the marquee, which is currently missing Stephen Colbert’s name, ahead of the shows September 8th, 2015 premiere. But where could Colbert’s name go? Is this perhaps just a temporary place filler for something fancier to be unveiled closer to September?
Update: We have light!!
