Water Cooler — Turkey Week Edition

Welcome to CNH’s Water Cooler, where fellow Hubsters commiserate and comment on current events, or whatever you like, while our boys Jon and Stephen are away.

This week finds us all feverishly attempting to complete our work so we can overdose on tryptophan and/or watch football and/or shop ’til we drop. So I imagine the “water cooler” is the last place you would want to be right now, but this is your opportunity, dear Hubsters, to let your hair down and talk about whatever you want. Personally, I just trekked back about 900 miles on a road trip from Virginia to Chicago, and my family and I are still on speaking terms! Bonus! I miss the city, so I am looking forward to getting downtown to the magnificent mile or something and just being there.

Lots going on while the shows are dark, we have continued Occupy unrest, with protesters being marinated in pepper spray, Saif al-Islam (finally) captured in Libya, and celebrity divorces stealing the headlines.

However, this is Thanksgiving, so thus begs the question, what are you grateful for this year? I have much as always to be grateful for; I am particularly grateful to have been given the opportunity to be a part of this wonderful blog, and the amazing show (and amazing show’s host) that have inspired it.

Before I leave you, please enjoy a little Thanksgiving related nostalgia, with Stephen handsomely costumed as a Pilgrim in the Strangers with Candy episode, “Trail of Tears.” It is especially nice when Jerri Blank graciously surrenders to the White Man the entire United States on behalf of all Indians (or “savage beasts” as she calls them) everywhere.

Full Episode: “Trail of Tears”.

Feel free also just to chat around the CNH office’s Water Cooler. Fandom is also friend-dom.
