- ‘The Hollywood Reporter’ reports that Summit Entertainment has bought a pitch titled “International Incident” from former ‘Daily Show’ head writer David Javerbaum. Ken Jeong is attached to star in the comedy, and Steve Carell is in negotiations to produce through his Carousel Productions banner.
- David Sedaris has a new humour piece in ‘The New Yorker’ in which he talks about the newest edition to his life, a Fitbit Tracker.
- ‘The Hollywood Reporter’ recently interviewed David Sedaris about his current book tour where he is currently appearing in 26 North American cities. In the interview David discusses his theme for this tour, pushing audience members, inscribing messages in people’s books and the film adaptation of ‘C.O.G.’
- John Oliver was recently a guest on ‘Charlie Rose’, where he spoke about his new HBO show “Last Week Tonight”, net neutrality, being under Jon Stewarts’s protective wing, and worrying about everything.
- In a recent addition of ‘The Q’, ‘GQ’ challenged die-hard soccer fan John Oliver to see if he could pick out the fakes names amongst a list of the most bizarre names in the sport.
- Former ‘Daily Show’ staffer Rob Kutner has teamed up with the Levison brothers’ for the new comedy music compilation album, ‘2776’, which features 28 tracks by over 80 different artists, including Ed Helms, Martha Plimpton and Triump the Insult Comic Dog. All proceeds from album sales will go to the children’s charity, OneKid, OneWorld.
