He was the South Korean pop star on the international stage before Psy came along, a proud representative of the hallyu wave of South Korean soft power.
Rain has been discharged from the South Korean military after completing 21 months of mandatory service. A large crowd of media and female fans greeted the superstar, some holding signs that read “Rain’s coming,” and “We waited for you.”
